Easy Steps to Setup Gmail in Outlook 2003

Outlook is one of the best email clients to manage your personal email account. It organizes your emails and provides excellent management. The Outlook 2003 is one of the best versions for email support. If you are wondering to setup Outlook 2003 with your Gmail account, here is a simple tutorial that helps you out. A few simple steps are required to follow that you can do on your own. There is no need to go through any technical support.

Open Outlook 2003 on your PC

If you are opening for the first time, the Outlook will itself open the email setting window. There is no need to follow any manual steps to open the email setting window.

If this is not your first time, a few manual procedures are required to follow to open the email setting window.

In the Outlook, move the cursor to “Tools” menu and select “Email Accounts”, the next window want you to choose email accounts and directories that Outlook uses. Select “Add a New Email Account” and “Next” button to click.

The next windows ask you to choose the server type, select “POP3” and then “Next” button

The next window allows you to create your email setting. But before you need to enable POP in Gmail because it allows your email to connect with email services. A few simple steps are required to follow to activate “POP”

  • Open your Gmail Account
  • On top arrow of the Gmail, click “Configuration”
  • Select “Settings”
  • Choose “Forwarding and POP/IMAP”
  • Enable “POP” and choose your desired “email service” connection

Incoming and Outgoing servers are required to setup in “Advanced” window that can be 995 and 465
